One UI 6 seems to lack status bar burn-in protection

Unless you leave your screen at maximum brightness on the same picture 24/7 for weeks at a time, you won’t succeed. If that’s enough.
I’ve never seen a burnt-in AMOLED screen.
Sure, there are some stories floating around on the internet, but you never know what those people have really been up to with their devices.

Most people mainly use their phones for navigating, taking photos and videos, emailing, texting, watching videos and reading newspapers, Tweakers or other articles. Also look up information and in some cases also serve as a cluster screen for OBDII. I don’t see people doing many crazy things with their phones. Depending on which model you have, you can also use Dex.

Perhaps the older devices still suffered from this when AMOLED technology was still a bit younger, but I do not expect that today’s devices will be able to get them to burn in.

I already noticed that the screen on my Galaxy Note10 Lite was burned in after 1.5 years. Status bar and the navigator icon of FlitsMeister were clearly visible. The major disadvantage of (AM)OLED is that burn-in happens quite quickly, compared to LCD. Of course you shouldn’t show a static image, but sometimes you can chat with someone for quite a long time, which means that the keyboard is visible for quite a long time and therefore has a greater chance of burn-in. And in addition, the status bar is very static, the battery percentage, time and notification icons often remain there for a long time. The navigation bar is also static, so it was also clearly visible.

I always have Accubattery and Ampere as notifications, because I want to know how much and how quickly the battery is empty and/or is being charged.

So even with new (AM)OLED screens, burn-in can happen, but it all has to do with how long static material remains on the screen, what the brightness is and how long your notifications stay on.

Everything has to do with how long you use your phone continuously and whether the image is too static or whether it is dynamic.
