One UI 2.5 rolls out for Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 (Plus)

Do you have a Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, Note 10 or Note 10 Plus? From now on you can update to One UI 2.5, the latest Samsung software version. The update introduces several improvements, for example for video recording.

Read on after the ad.

One UI 2.5 for Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite and Note 10 (Plus)

Samsung has started rolling out One UI 2.5 for the Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite, Note 10 and Note 10 Plus. At the same time, the Android security update from September will also be installed. Readers leave that on Android Planet know.

The substantial update ‘weighs’ on the Samsung Note 10 and Samsung Note 10 Plus about 1.2 GB. If you have a small internet bundle, it is therefore better to download the new software via a WiFi network.

A UI 2.5 initially rolls out for so-called unbrandeddevices. These phones are free from specific software installed by carriers (such as Vodafone). It is not yet known when the update for these brand smartphones will be released.

Always back up your smartphone before updating. Should the update unexpectedly go wrong, you will in any case not lose any personal data. You can read how this works exactly in our article about making backups.

Improvements in One UI 2.5

The new version of Samsung’s own One UI software introduces several enhancements, including the ability to use DeX wirelessly. This allows you to use your Samsung phone wirelessly as a computer.

One UI 2.5 also introduces multiple photo and camera enhancements. For example, the recording modes Pro Video and Single have been addressed and deliver nicer videos. Samsung has also given a number of its own apps a new look, such as the Messages and Notes apps. Finally, some general stability improvements have been added.

Samsung en updates

It has been a busy software week for Samsung. The South Korean company also updated the Samsung Galaxy S10, Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus and Samsung Galaxy S10e to One UI 2.5 last week. The company is also rolling out the most recent Android security update (from September) for a range of devices, including the popular Samsung Galaxy A41, Samsung Galaxy A70 and Samsung Galaxy A80.
