One-Stop Service Window now has digital books for you

This strategy is led by the Department of Culture, Recreation and Sports, through the District Network of Public Libraries of Bogotá, BibloRed, in partnership with the District Department of Mobility (SDM).

QR codes facilitate access to specialized mobility content and more than three million free readings enabled by the Digital Library of Bogotá. “Users and users will be able to discover new ways of getting around in Bogotá and touring the city together with books, music, podcasts, programming and millions of possibilities offered by the Public Library Network of Bogotá, BibloRed, so we continue working to make the Reading is a practice of daily life”, stated Nicolás Montero, Secretary of Culture, Recreation and Sports.

From this initiative, the Digital Library of Bogotá will have available the virtual exhibition ‘Mobility with Heart’which brings together four sections where users can navigate through two permanent spaces that contain informative or instructive resources on the Single Service Window, and the affiliation route to the Digital Library of Bogotá, as well as two variable spaces with specialized readings on mobility school, safe infrastructure, road safety and citizen culture.

Citizens who visit the two Mobility Service Centers and the 19 service points of the Single Service Window will have permanent access to the contents of the Bogotá Digital Library, as explained by the Secretary of Mobility, Felipe Ramírez: “ We hope that more than two million citizens will have access to the collection that we will have on key mobility issues, such as procedures and services, the sustainable mobility strategies that we are promoting in Bogotá, as well as recommendations for trips around the city on foot, by bicycle or by public transport.

In this way, the strategy ‘Mobility with Heart’ It is consolidated as a cultural alternative just a click away, which promotes the habit of reading through specialized mobility content. For the start of the alliance, four reading routes are contemplated per quarter:

• School mobility (back to school) with topics on pedestrians

• Safe infrastructures with readings on the history of the main roads of Bogotá

• Road safety and tours of Bogotá

• Citizen culture and transportation issues

Service points are available in the towns of Antonio Nariño, Barrios Unidos, Bosa, Ciudad Bolívar, Chapinero, Engativá, Fontibón, Kennedy, Los Mártires, Puente Aranda, San Cristóbal, Santa Fe, Suba, Teusaquillo, Tunjuelito, Usaquén and Use me. In addition to this initiative, at the new service points of the Ministry of Mobility, citizens can also find books, music, podcasts, programming and millions of possibilities offered by the Public Library Network of Bogotá, BibloRed, through QR codes located at the North, South and Salitre terminals. “Through this alliance within the framework of the Pact for Reactivation 2.0, the Transport Terminal develops joint work with the Ministry of Culture to consolidate itself as the artistic and cultural epicenter of the city,” said Montero.
