The Act will come into force on 1 January 2025, which means that the increase in the tax rate will take place from the beginning of the next year. However, further increases are planned for the coming years. In 2026, the excise duty on cigarettes will increase in the quota part by another 20%. A year later another 15 percent. In turn, in the case of smoking tobacco manufacturers, the excise tax quota will be increased as follows: in 2026 by 30%. and in 2027 by 22 percent.

According to “Fakt” calculations, smokers will have to pay PLN 20.82 for 20 cigarettes next year. A year later, the price is expected to jump to PLN 23.85. In 2027, you will have to pay PLN 26.54. E-cigarette liquid will cost PLN 23.64 in 2025. A year later it will be PLN 29.94, and in 2027 it will be PLN 34.69.
