It is still unclear whether the Sunny Liger plans to divert to another port. The ship is anchored about 35 kilometers off the Dutch coast.
The Coast Guard has not yet received any distress reports from the ship. “It is customary for sufficient food to be taken on board these types of ships, but we do not know what the situation is on board the ship,” said a spokesperson.
The owner of the ship, shipping company MSEA, could not be reached for comment.
