There has been an avalanche across FV69 between Hønsa and Repvåg in Nordkapp municipality.
– We have received a report of a landslide. There is a person who has been caught by the landslide, but he has been rescued. We have no concrete suspicion that there are more people involved in the collapse, but we cannot rule it out, says operations manager in the police, Theodor Weberg-Ellingsen.
The person must be in good health.
Police, fire brigade, rescue helicopter from Banak and ambulance are on their way. The race must be wide. The road is closed. The road traffic center writes that they will have a new assessment at 17 if the road is to be opened then.
– The landslide has occurred just north of the Skarvberg tunnel. We have launched a rescue operation and plow crews are now on site. There must have been quite a bit of snow, says Jonas Johnsen in the Norwegian Traffic Center.
