The injured man was taken to the hospital. The police have control over a person they believe is the perpetrator.
At 2.33am on Tuesday, Oslo police reported on Twitter that they were in Brugata, following a report that a person had been stabbed with what police described as a sharp object.
The person was treated by health care and taken to hospital, chief operating officer Sven Christian Lie told VG. The extent of the damage is not known at this time.
– The person was stabbed in the upper body with a sharp object, Lie says.
Approximately 40 minutes later, police report they are in control of a person they suspect is the perpetrator. The person was taken to the detention center.
The person who was taken into custody was checked in the area where the injured person was found. And
Police received a call from a person who was with the person who was stabbed, and 911 came out and found the person.
They first responded to a noise report, before receiving a report that a person had been injured.
