One person was killed and 16 others were injured in a shooting on the campus of Tuskegee University in the US state of Alabama. This was stated by Alabama law enforcement officers on the social network Facebook (a social network banned in Russia; owned by the Meta corporation, which is recognized as extremist in the Russian Federation and is banned).
The incident occurred on Sunday, November 10. The eighteen-year-old boy died at the scene. 12 victims were hospitalized, four more received non-gunshot wounds.
Law enforcement officers managed to detain a 25-year-old man who tried to escape from the crime scene with a gun modified into a machine gun. He was charged with weapons possession.
Earlier, three people were killed and eight were injured in a shooting in Holmes County, Mississippi. According to media reports, two of the dead were 19 years old, another was 25 years old.
Another shooting incident occurred earlier in a shopping center in the city of Kungsbakka in southwestern Sweden. As a result of the incident, one person was injured.
