A firecracker went off Magelang caused dozens of houses to be damaged. The explosion also left one person dead.
Reported detikJateng, Sunday (26/3/2023), Head of Public Relations of the Central Java Regional Police, Kombes Iqbal Alqudusy, confirmed this information. This news has also been circulating on social media.
“There was an explosion of firecrackers in one of the houses in Kaliangkrik District, Magelang Regency,” Iqbal told detikJateng via short message, Sunday (25/3/2023).
This incident occurred at 20.10 WIB. The victim who died was named Mufid (33), a resident of Giriwarno Village.
Meanwhile, the injured victims were Nurhayah (41), Naela Janur (17) and Nailatul (18). They are now being referred to the Magelang Hospital.
“One person died. Five houses were heavily damaged, six were slightly damaged,” he explained.
