At 20.19, the police were notified of a serious traffic accident on E39 between Orkanger and Gjølme in Trøndelag.
Three vehicles and several people are involved. Both motorcycle and car are involved in the accident.
A man in his 60s has been confirmed dead. The others involved in the accident are physically unharmed.
Relatives have been notified, police write on Twitter.
The police and the accident group of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration are investigating the incident at the scene.

Road will be closed for a long time
The emergency services are working on the spot and the police report that Orkangervegen, where the accident took place, will be closed for a long time.
A detour is recommended on Fylkesvei 65 and Hemnevegen.
