– There was a head-on collision. There was a serious accident between a truck and a car dragging another. There was one person in each vehicleChief Operating Officer Jens Dahl in the Møre and Romsdal Police District tells NTB.
The on-site health service confirms that one person died in the accident. Dahl currently has no information on the conditions of the other two involved.
– We haven’t received any feedback on this, but I think it’s going well.
Forensic technicians on site are awaiting the accident team of the Norwegian Public Roads Administration, who will assist with the work.
Thursday weather is clear and visibility is good in the area.
– There are delays and quite bare roads. Those are wintry conditions, but there must be usable driving conditions in place, says Dahl.
Police received a report at 10.47 about the accident on county road 61, Sulavegen near Mauseidvågen in Sula municipality. IN follow the police now there are long queues. People in the area have to complain that the road will be closed for a long time.
– It can quickly be an hour or two, maybe more, before we’ve done the technical investigation. This means that the county road 61 is completely closed between Mauseidvåg and Eidsnes. Those who live in Langevåg don’t have the opportunity to drive into the city, says Dahl.
