The driver of the car died in the accident and the person was alone in the car. The driver of the truck appears to be unharmed, but he is being treated for health, operations director Frode Øverås in the Innlandet police district told NTB.

The next of kin have been notified and a crisis team is deployed.
Police received a report of the incident at 09.09. It took place about four kilometers north of Gjøvik in an 80 zone.
The operations manager says forensic technicians are on their way to investigate the sequence of events and the cause of the crash. The road next to the crash site will be closed for some time to come. Passenger cars must deviate from provincial road 2410, while heavy vehicles must deviate from E6.
