A lorry and a bike caught fire in an accident and one person died. The motorcyclist was burnt to death after the collision between the vehicles caught fire. Nawaz, a native of Kondoti, died. The lorry which went out of control from the opposite direction hit the bike going towards Tanur. The fire broke out when the lorry hit a nearby electricity pole. The incident took place on Saturday afternoon at Tanur Schoolpadi.
The body of the biker trapped under the lorry was also on fire. The fire brigade from Tanur and local residents extinguished the fire before it caught fire in the diesel tank of the lorry. But the biker died after suffering severe burns. The bike was completely burnt and the lorry partially burnt. The body of Nawaz, who died in the accident, was shifted to Tirur District Hospital.
