My first question when I saw the first movie was: Dulquer Salmaan
Dulquer Salmaan is the biggest crowd puller among young Malayalam actors. After Mammootty and Mohanlal, Dulquer managed to become the actor with the highest first day collection for any film in a short period of time. A short record collection was achieved during the Kovid period when it was released at half occupancy.
Even King Kotha, which received negative reviews, had a good collection on the first day. But in the last year, Dulquer has not done a single film in Malayalam.
Lucky Bhaskar is the film in which Dulquer will play a lead role in Telugu after some time. Directed by Venky Atluri, the film tells the story of a banker in Bombay in the 1980s. This is Dulquer’s 44th film. Dulquer says that he has done only 44 films while Mammootty’s father has already done more than 420 films. Dulquer said that his father still listens to every new story and works on it.
Dulquer said that he did not think that he would be able to stay in the film for so long. Dulquer said that while he was making the first film, the question that was in his mind was whether he would be able to act in the next film. Dulquer also said that he had thoughts that people would stare at his face for two hours.
Dulquer said that he wanted to do at least one Malayalam film a year, but due to health problems, it did not happen this year. Dulquer said this during the promotions of Lucky Bhaskar.
‘Lucky Bhaskar is my 44th film. Vappachi has already done more than 42 films. I never thought I would reach that level. The other day too, when we were at home, Polly looked very happy. When asked what it was, he said, ‘I got a new character’. The shooting of the film will start in two months.
I didn’t even think I could stay on the field for so long. When I was acting in the first film, I was wondering if I would be able to act in the next film. I had the same idea when I was making the second and third films. It was mandatory to produce at least one Malayalam film every year. It didn’t happen this year due to some health issues,’ said Dulquer Salmaan.
