President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Nicke Widyawati said that one of the two potential investors in the Balikpapan RDMP will resign or not continue the cooperation in developing the refinery.
However, he continued, this has not been conveyed formally. A new wish is in the form of an unofficial statement.
“Formally not yet, from an informal one, one of the two previously stated resigns,” he said in a meeting at the House of Representatives Commission VII, Monday (31/5).
He conveyed this to answer a question from Commission VII member Eddy Soeparno regarding the news of the withdrawal of two investors from the development of the Balikpapan RDMP refinery.

In its later development, there are a number of things that have not been agreed between Pertamina and one of the investors.
“But there is nothing formal about this informally, and one more thing is still being discussed,” he said.
Unfortunately, Nicke was reluctant to say which party had resigned. He only hopes that the withdrawal of one of the partners will not have a big impact on the project because the portion is not large.
“With this we hope that the impact of informally withdrawing one of the progress project, because actually equity partner This portion is not too large, and the loan portion continues,” he said.
Nicke also said that currently Pertamina is in communication with the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) which plans to enter the Balikpapan RDMP. “INA will enter as an equity partner of RDMP Balikpapan. We also open communication with INA for this issue,” he concluded.
