Doctors say that when infected with this strain, the disease proceeds more aggressively and faster than when infected with other strains.

“On days 2-3 after hospitalization, patients’ saturation sharply decreases, they cannot breathe on their own. The age of severe patients is young, only 30-40 years old,” Antonenko said.

As a reminder, at the end of July in Ukraine there were revealed the first cases of Delta strain… Later Delta strain confirmed in Transcarpathia, Kiev and Lviv region.

It was previously reported that Delta has become the dominant strain in Europe… The proportion of the Delta strain detected in 19 European countries is 68.3%, while the Alpha variant accounts for 22.3%.
