One of the largest e-shops in the Czech Republic is bankrupt. At the same time, customers love it

The history of the Dedoles online store shows how quickly big plans can turn into a struggle for pure survival, with bad cards. It is of Slovak origin, but is very popular in the Czech Republic and is highly regarded by many customers.

Rapid growth and then fall

Dedoles brought unconventional fashion to the Czech market, especially original socks and underwear. However, she gradually included other items in the assortment. At the same time, her growth was literally impressive. Last year, it literally took off and was about to expand massively.

But the change in the market situation has dealt him a severe blow. The company was trying to grow to meet customer demands, so it hired a lot of new people, opened department stores, and ordered a lot of goods. But then came the drop in demand and everything suddenly changed.

Dedoles first stopped being able to pay the bills, which literally went over his head. Now he has announced that he will also close his physical stores, which however represented only a minority of sales.

In Slovakia, the company has already started bankruptcy proceedings. So it’s on the decline. Its Czech branch has now done the same. It turns out that the claims of creditors against Dedoles are by no means low, quite the opposite. In Slovakia alone, they recorded more than one billion crowns.

The search for an investor was unsuccessful

Although the boss of Dedoles rejects that amount and contradicts a number of claims. But this can be attributed to the fact that they are trying with all their might to win at least something. The store’s future is uncertain to say the least.

Just a few months ago, it was rumored that an investor could join the company. There were also negotiations going on. But the fact that it didn’t work out in the end also shows that Dedoles’s state is very unhappy.
