Comics Station in Antwerp says goodbye to its record slide. At the opening of the indoor amusement park, the so-called Mega Twister was said to be the tallest and longest indoor slide in the world. Now that the park has been taken over by the Plopsa Group, the attraction has to make way. A Plopsa spokesperson confirms this to the specialized Looopings website.

Comics Station was taken over by Studio 100’s amusement park group at the end of last year. The new name is Plopsa Station Antwerp. The reopening should take place at the end of this year, with new attractions and shows.
In any case, the slide is no longer available. “It will be publicly auctioned soon”, it sounds. “We have other plans for that space and there were many problems with it.” For example, children ended up on a different floor after sliding, so that on busy days they could easily lose their parents.

The ball
The Mega Twister slide is 22.5 meters high and 51 meters long. There are also the 12 meter high Maxi Twister and the 5.5 meter high Double Twister, which will also be demolished. In Plopsa Station, cartoon characters such as Lucky Luke, Suske en Wiske, Urbanus and Jommeke will soon be joined by Studio 100 characters such as clown Bumba and Maya de Bij.
