The largest hotel apartment complex in Pomorie has closed its doors. The reasons are that some of the owners don’t want to pay for the common parts, electricity and water. They insist on their own electricity meters, Mayor Ivan Alexiev explained. “The Dutch deal is bankrupt! 3,000 beds are blocked, it won’t work,” he said.
According to him, this will have a particularly negative effect on the development of tourism in Pomorie and especially on the “St. George” district.
“450-500 people have already been released as far as I know. This is a consequence of the inadequate government policy in the field of tourism. How could this Ministry of Tourism not make a law to separate the parties in the hotels that are being sold at the moment we see scandals: they can’t understand each other on electricity, they can’t understand each other on water, on common areas,” Ivan Alexiev also told BNR.
The complex is closing indefinitely, definitely not going to work next year.
