One of Stockholm’s most famous landmarks has been renamed

Stockholm, May 19, AZERTAC

One of Stockholm’s most famous landmarks has been renamed after the musician Avicii.

According to AZERTAC, the Ericsson Globe Stadium, which is the largest spherical structure in the world and one of Stockholm’s most recognizable landmarks, has changed its name to Avicii Arena in honor of musician Tim Bergling, known under the pseudonym of Avici.

Famous Swedish DJ and music producer Tim Bergling committed suicide after a long period of depression-related problems. For this reason, the stadium that bears his name will host a forum on the mental health of young people from May 19. The purpose of the event is to invite school students, as well as decision-makers and mental health experts, to teach classes and have conversations with young people. The Avicii Arena will also host other events of this type. Additionally, the annual Tim Bergling Foundation Anniversary Music Gala will take place on December 5.
