The club, which made it to the semifinals of the playoffs for Europe in the just-ending year, informed about it on their website.
“The new contract for Jarda Drobný was a priority for us this summer. We needed a player to be the leader after Tomáš Sivok’s departure, who will be the leader and which players will follow, ”explains general manager Martin Vozábal. “I’m so glad we made a deal.”
“We mainly need someone who, just like last season, closes the goal and doesn’t let go of the goal,” adds coach David Horejš. “Jarda has a huge relationship with the club. But he also has a family that lives in Hamburg, so it was difficult for him to make a decision. I’m very happy that he will help us in the end. I still see in him that he wants to catch. ”
Drobný returned to Budějovice in the summer of 2001 in the autumn and was a key figure in the unexpected success of the league rookie. Originally he came from Germany as a coach of goalkeepers, but at the same time he also got a player’s contract and in mid-October he started to catch the highest competition again.
Dynamo did not lose with him seven times in a row between three sticks (six times he won) and Drobný remained for the spring, although he received an offer to coach goalkeepers from the Bundesliga Düsseldorf.
The 40-year-old football traveler – who worked in Greece, the Netherlands, England and Germany – caught eighteen duels, in which he kept seven clear accounts. Fans of the České Budějovice club also voted him the best player of the season.
Drobny should prepare his successor for the position of number one during the coming year, which should be Vojtěch Vorel, a 24-year-old goalkeeper who comes from Sparta. At the same time, Zdeněk Křížek, a patriot from České Budějovice, who belonged to the first team of Dynamo for almost 20 seasons, ended his career.
“It didn’t make sense for us to have a forty-one-year-old and a thirty-eight-year-old two. That’s why Zdenda finished. He has done a lot of work for České Budějovice football, so he will now work as a goalkeepers coach at the club’s academy, “added Horejš.
České Budějovice started preparations without several supportsExcrement: Pavel Šulc, Filip Havelka, Jiří Kulhánek, Denis Granečný (all end of hosting), Ivan Sušak, Michael Rabušic, Ivan Schranz, Ladislav Martan, Roman Polom (all end of contract), Tomáš Sivok, Zdeněk Křížek, Ivo Táborský (all end of career) , Michal Řezáč (transfer – Žižkov) “There were a lot of changes in the staff. But of the players who left, most of them did not start in the basic line-up. And it is not completely ruled out that, for example, Šulc and Havelka will return,” says Vozábal. So far, České Budějovice has planned five matches for summer training. The game camps then take place in mid-August in Kaprun, Austria. (CTK) – |
