One more summer is coming for the goats in the Riverside Park

The goats return this summer to a park in Manhattan to take on essential work for the conservation of this site.

This Wednesday, the Riverside Park Conservancy organization released 20 goats to kill the weeds.

Four of them will stay through the summer to help conservation, combat poison ivy, porcelain berries and multiflora rose. The goats can climb the steep hills of Riverside Park without a hitch.

Manhattan Borough President Mark Levine commented on this: “There are problems in some areas of the park that have a lot of grass, so they have brought the goats to take care of this and also the visitors love it.”

The four goats that will stay this summer are: Elenor, Big G, Skittles and Cheech.
