one more step for Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich have taken another step towards their 30th title. The Bavarians won 4-2 at Leverkusen in the big shock of day 30 of the Bundesliga.

This success allowed them to maintain a seven-point advantage over Borussia Dortmund, who won 1-0 ahead of Hertha Berlin thanks to a victory by Emre Can. The Bavarians are thus only two victories from the coronation.

Faced with a Bayer deprived of his injured prodigy Kai Havertz, Bayern reacted perfectly after the opening of Lucas Alario’s score in the 7th minute to score by Kingsley Coman, Leon Goretzka, Serge Gnabry and the inevitable Robert Lewandowski who scored his 30th goal of the season in the Bundesliga. They knew how to play admirably in depth against a slightly naive defense.

Author of Leverkusen’s second goal in the 89th minute, Florian Wirtz became the youngest goal scorer in Bundesliga history at 17 years and 34 days old. A nice consolation on the Bayer engaged in the fight for a place in the Champions League with RB Leipzig and Borussia Mönchengladbach who also failed during this 30th day. Gladbach lost 1-0 on Friday to Freiburg as RB Leipzig was held in check (1-1) by “red lantern” Paderborn.
