Emmanuel and Stéphanie Raillard: “The trophies, a great experience”
During the fifth edition of the Agriculture Trophies in April, Le Moulin de Léopaul won the jury’s favourite. A distinction that rewarded Emmanuel Raillard, supported by his wife Stéphanie, for the creation, in 2020, of his transformation workshop in Montigny-sur-Vingeanne. This grain farmer has started making homemade organic flour and pasta from the cereals he grows.
“A great evening that feels good”
Last year, at this time, the couple decided to submit, without really believing it, an application for the trophies. “We weren’t leaving to get a prize, we just wanted to communicate about what we’re doing,” says Emmanuel Raillard. When he learned that he was the winner – of the jury’s favorite, moreover – he was very moved. “I was really happy that people were interested in us, in our work,” he proclaims.
For the awards ceremony, “we invited our respective families and friends. It was great. A great evening that feels good”, continues Stéphanie Raillard, specifying that this highlighting of the agricultural world helps to promote the profession. Profession that is highlighted in a positive way. “Along with the other winners, we were proud. Our work was taken seriously and, morally, it did a lot of good. It gave us all a boost. »
And Emmanuel and Stéphanie Raillard conclude: “It’s been a great experience and, for this sixth edition, we encourage – 200% – farmers to apply. »
