Early Thursday morning, a new batch of one million Chinese vaccines arrived in Mexico Sinovac, to continue with the immunization against Covid-19 a older adults 60 years.
At 4:34 in the morning, a cargo plane with the doses arrived at the Mexico City International Airport, on flight CX086, from the People’s Republic of China.
The vaccines were received by the director of Biological and Reagent Laboratories of Mexico (Birmex), Pedro Zenteno, and personnel of the General Administration of Customs.
With this shipment, the Chinese pharmaceutical company Sinovac has delivered to Mexico a total of 4 million vaccines against Covid-19, in five shipments, from Hong Kong.

On February 20, the first 200,000 vaccines arrived in the country; on February 27, 800 thousand; on March 13, one million; March 18, one million; and this Thursday another million.
More than 60 elements of the Mexican Army participated in the arrival, transfer and security of Chinese vaccines, which last February received authorization from the Federal Commission for the Protection of Sanitary Risks (Cofepris) for emergency use in our country.
Yesterday, the Mexican authorities received the thirteenth shipment of vaccines against Covid-19 produced by the American pharmaceutical company Pfizer-BioNTech with 170 thousand 625 doses, which will be distributed in the 32 states through six land routes and four air routes, by elements of the Armed Forces.
The director of Birmex, Pedro Zenteno affirmed that Mexico has received a total of 10 million vaccines and announced that more vaccines will arrive on Saturday, around 65 thousand, on this occasion of the Cansino Pharmaceutical.
