One deceased and 44 more hospital admissions in the last day, registering 187 new positives | Radio Murcia

The Region of Murcia adds one death and 187 new cases from Covid-19 in the last 24 hours, according to the balance of the Ministry of Health.

A 92-year-old woman, with previous pathologies, admitted to the Santa Lucía hospital in Cartagena, has died of coronavirus, bringing the number of deaths since the beginning of the pandemic to 157 in our community.

Meanwhile, the number of cases does not stop growing and there are 187 that have been counted in the last day, so that, at present, there are 2,353 active cases, of which 164 are admitted to the different hospitals. There are 44 more admissions than on Sunday, when there were 120 people admitted by Covid-19. According to the council, 14 of these new arrivals are people who have arrived by boat.

The number of admissions to the ICU also increased, from 19 to 21 on the last day.

Meanwhile, there are 2,189 people in home isolation, and 2,581 people have already overcome the disease in our region.

The 187 new cases, 39 correspond to the municipality of Murcia, 35 to Lorca, 19 to Cartagena, 10 to Lorquí, 9 to Molina de Segura, 8 Ceutí, 6 to San Javier, 5 to Alcantarilla, 5 to Jumilla, 5 to Mula, 5 to Totana, 4 to Fuente Álamo and 4 to San Pedro del Pinatar. The rest are distributed among various locations, according to Health.
