A 16-year-old young man was shot and killed Saturday evening, January 2, during another night of violence in the Aubiers district in Bordeaux, reports France Blue Gironde Sunday January 3. Four young people, including three teenagers aged 13, 15 and 16, were also injured during the exchange of fire.
The five victims were taken to hospital. One of them, a young man aged 16, did not survive her injuries and died at CHU Pellegrin. Two other young people are hospitalized in serious condition, the fourth is more slightly affected and was able to leave the hospital in the evening. A fifth youngster was also admitted to hospital. His condition is not known.
An investigation has been opened. This shooting comes just 48 hours after New Year’s Eve, during which around thirty cars and a post office were set on fire in this same district in the north of Bordeaux.
