A tornado killed at least one person in Michigan, police said, and injured more than 40 others. The tornado caused vehicles to overturn, roofs ripped off buildings, and trees and power lines fell in the community of Gaylord. The tornado hit the town of about 4,200, which is celebrating the 100th anniversary of its founding this year, on Friday afternoon.

Video shows devastation
A video posted online showed major damage on the main road. A building seemed to have largely collapsed, a shop badly damaged. A supply pole was on the street, debris was scattered everywhere. Mayor Todd Sharrard said he had never seen anything like it.
