Breonna Taylor, a 26-year-old emergency nurse, was shot dead on the night of March 13 by police officers who raided her apartment. The raid happened in the context of a search for narcotics, but it later turned out that no drugs were present in Taylor’s house.
The agents raided the apartment without warning. Taylor’s friend opened fire, thinking they were burglars. Then the officers started firing at random. Breonna Taylor was hit six times. One of the bullets was fatal.
