The police write that they sent several patrols to an address in Stavanger around 08.30, after receiving notification that someone had fired an air weapon from a window in an apartment there.
A man in his 20s has been arrested in connection with the incident, and the air force has been seized.
Police operations manager Brit Randulff tells TV 2 that it is currently uncertain whether there is any support in the report that shots have been fired, and also does not know who the shots may have been aimed at.
However, they write that they have not obtained information that indicates that shots have been fired at other people. Police are now working to interrogate witnesses.
No one was injured.
– We do not know if there has been a threat situation, or if it may have been a “test shooting” with the weapon. But in any case, the use of weapons is prohibited.
Randullf says that another person was also involved in the episode, but does not know what role this person has played.
