The owner of the championship title and two-time domestic cup winner with Slavia Ondřej Lingr returns to Eden after a year spent at Feyenoord Rotterdam, where he signed a contract until June 2028.
The transfer fee for the 25-year-old national team midfielder is 2.2 million euros.
“There was an opportunity to acquire Ondra under very acceptable financial conditions. We did not hesitate, we believe that he will build on the excellent performances he performed in our jersey. We are getting a player with a winning mentality, an instant reinforcement who knows our environment, the system. The coaching staff knows exactly what to expect from him. We hope that it will significantly contribute to the fulfillment of our goals on the domestic stage, as well as in Europe,” says Slavia’s sports director Jiří Bílek.
“My goal is to become an important member of the team again, as I was before I left. But Slavia’s goals are much more important to me. She is in first place. I will do everything the same as it was before I left and to help the team in any situation. Whether it’s on the field or off it. I would very much like to return the league trophy to Eden and help Slavia to the title and the best results in the Europa League,” says the returnee Ondřej Lingr.
Three years, three trophies and 16 winning goals
Ondrej Lingr came to Slavia in August 2020 after a successful year in Karviná, scored seven goals and added one assist in 29 games. Immediately after his arrival, he became one of the building blocks of a phenomenal season, when the Slavists remained undefeated and celebrated winning the double. In the league, he scored four times in 27 matches, scoring his first league goal in a stitched jersey on December 6, 2020 in the Prague derby at Letná, where Slavia won 3:0. He added three more goals in the MOL Cup. He also played in all the matches of the Europa League group stage, where he scored a beautiful goal against the French side OGC Nice, which eventually won the poll for the best goal of the season. His great performances helped Slavia to the quarter-finals of the Europa League.
In the 2021/22 season, he was among the team’s best scorers with a record of 14 goals in the league, when he was fighting for the crown of the top scorer. He also scored one accurate hit in the European Conference League against Fenerbahce. With great performances, he claimed his first invitation to the senior national team. In the last season in the red and white jersey, he played 27 league matches, in which he added 11 goals and assisted four more goals. Before his departure, he celebrated winning the MOL Cup at Lné.
In three years, Lingr managed to play for Slavia in 138 competitive matches, scoring exactly 40 goals. Immediately 16 were victorious.
He headed to Feyenoord Rotterdam in August 2023. In one year, he played 26 games in the red and white jersey, scored four goals and celebrated winning the Dutch Cup and the Super Cup. At EURO 2024, he started all group matches as a substitute player. In the match of the Czech national team against Georgia, he assisted the equalizing goal at 1:1.
Lingy, welcome home.
