Experts will discuss methods of fighting cancer
A regional scientific and practical conference today brought together specialists from all over the region within the walls of the Nizhnevartovsk Oncology Center.
Among the participants: oncologists, mammologists, surgeons, therapists, radiologists, obstetricians-gynecologists, radiologists and radiotherapists, urologists. All of them are involved in the prevention, early detection and treatment of cancer and precancerous diseases. The speakers were invited guests from other regions of the country, for example, the topic of surgical and hormonal treatment of prostate cancer will be covered by Alexander Zyryanov, professor at the Sverdlovsk Regional Clinical Hospital No. 1.
Malignant neoplasms are one of the main causes of mortality in Russia, as well as throughout the world. Today there are many ways to overcome the disease. And surgical treatment is not the only option. In recent years, medications have been used together with it – from chemotherapy and hormonal therapy to immunotherapy, improving the quality of life and survival of patients.
“The conference will highlight current issues of promising medical technologies in the field of oncology, with analyzes of clinical cases. For practicing specialists, this event is important, since the knowledge and experience gained will be used in the daily work of doctors,” said the press service of the medical institution.
