Oncologist Reveals Symptoms and Risks of Prostate Cancer in Men

Al-Marsad Newspaper: Dr. Alexander Siryakov, an oncologist, revealed the symptoms of prostate cancer, one of the most common types of cancer in men.

The doctor said, in an interview with the “Izvestia” newspaper, that no noticeable symptoms of prostate cancer appear at the beginning, and that the disease is often diagnosed in advanced stages, when severe symptoms already appear.

He explained that these symptoms are such as: various urinary disorders, pain in the lower abdomen, and in the perineal region (the perineum is the part between the anus and the origin of the penis), the emergence of erection problems, a feeling of pressure in the anus, blood in the urine and/or semen, and pain during ejaculation. “.

The doctor pointed out that prostate cancer grows gradually and develops slowly and can remain confined to the prostate gland only for months and years.

The oncologist warned against not treating it, as in this case it spreads to the tissues surrounding the gland, which puts pressure on nearby tissues and organs, pointing out that prostate cancer responds well to treatment in its early stages.

The doctor revealed many factors for prostate cancer, including age 45 and over, heredity, metabolic disorder, weak immunity, endocrine and immune system disorders, chronic infections and physical inactivity.

It is noteworthy that prostate cancer ranks second, after lung cancer, in terms of diagnosis in men, according to the data of the World Health Organization.
