He said, cancer breast is the largest type of cancer affecting women at this time. This type ranks first as a cancer that affects women more than men.

Breast cancer is a malignant tumor that attacks the breast tissue originating from the gland, with some of it originating from the milk ducts, namely the ducts of the breast glands. Breast cancer occurs because there is damage to genes that regulate growth, so cells grow and reproduce unstoppably.

“In a normal cell system, there is a phase where this cell grows and a phase where the cell is ordered to stop growing and ends with cell suicide. So the cell does its own death. There is an order for cell death. Now, this is all damaged in cancer, where he keeps growing, not dying, “he said.

To see more clearly the possibility of a person developing breast cancer, that person needs to know what factors are at risk of causing breast cancer, one of which is the age factor. “The older the age, the more risk for breast cancer and in women this risk is more than men. Men have less than 5 percent incidence of breast cancer,” he said.

Then, close family history is also strongly associated with breast cancer risk. If a close relative has breast cancer, that person is also at risk for the disease.

Likewise, relatives who have a history of diseases that are closely related to breast cancer, namely ovarian cancer, pancreatic cancer, prostate cancer, and colon cancer. “If there is a close family history of prostate cancer, he should also think about getting into breast cancer risk factors,” said Walta.
