Onclusive to Replace Over Half of Workforce with Artificial Intelligence in France

Onclusive, an international group specializing in media monitoring and employing 383 people in France, will replace more than half of its workforce with artificial intelligence software in January and June 2024, as reported France Inter Friday confirming information from Release. In total, 217 jobs will be eliminated on its Courbevoie site (Hauts-de-Seine), and three production services will close.

Efficiency and quality

The employees laid off by this social plan were responsible for carrying out research and gathering articles in order to produce press reviews for their institutional or private clients. Work which will now be carried out by artificial intelligence solutions. For certain staff representatives, this choice could reduce the quality of the summary offered in the press reviews.

In response, Onclusive, in a press release published Friday, said these new tools will offer “a faster and more reliable service”. The group is also committed to “fully supporting” their employees through professional transition work. A first negotiation meeting took place on Friday.
