In the name of selling their respective flagship graphics cards, both NVIDIA and AMD are actively collaborating with developers who are working on games with big hype for the visual optimization process in the PC version. Either way? Of course by showing off what the game’s right-angled quality looks like if your PC can handle it, which is usually followed by a Ray-Tracing effect that turns on at its best capacity. One of the games that NVIDIA has teamed up with is Atomic Heart, which, through its full metallic setting, is indeed suitable for Ray-Tracing. They even released a trailer for this flagship feature. But what happened was surprising.
That instead of spearheading NVIDIA in showing off the capabilities of its new graphics card in an alternative timeline when the Soviet Union was in power, Atomic Heart actually came up with an absurd release decision. That’s right, after the fanfare that had happened, Atomic Heart was actually released without any ray-tracing features at all! The developer – Mundfish also did not provide a clear and strong reason why this feature was not available on the first release day. But from their official statement, this feature looks like it will be removed after release for windows that have not been determined at all.
NVIDIA, which once relied on Atomic Heart to show off their ray-tracing, also hasn’t made any comments regarding this situation. What do you think? Is Ray-Tracing that important for this game?
