The arrival of the presidential candidate from the NasDem Party, Anies Baswedan, in the Regency and City of Bandung had received rejection. Anies also thanked the demonstrators.
In his activities, Anies initially visited Bandung Regency to attend a healthy walk at the Si Jalak Harupat Stadium which was held by the Bandung Regency NasDem DPC. After that, Anies also visited the NasDem Youth Festival in Sabuga which was held by the Bandung City NasDem DPC.
The protest against Anies Baswedan was carried out by the Bandung Lautan Api Community and Student Movement on Jalan Tamansari, Bandung City, Sunday (22/1/2023) afternoon. Dozens of these mobs long march on Jalan Tamansari to the front of the Sabuga entrance. The flow of traffic was disrupted due to the long march of tens of masses of this action.
“This action, ahead of the 2024 election, today’s NasDem Party which is holding Youth Festival activities with the theme youth and politics, indicates that it is using (being used as) a campaign tool to win politics in 2024,” said action coordinator, Andre, as quoted from detikjabarSunday (22/1).
Andre also regretted that the activities attended by Anies were held at campus facilities which are state-owned facilities. Andre also asked Anies to prioritize political ethics and asked Bawaslu to carry out supervision.
Separately, Anies Baswedan spoke out regarding the rejection of his visit to Bandung Regency and Bandung City. Anies thanked the masses for the action.
“I thank someone for paying attention, for being present and for caring,” said Anies after the visit to Sabuga.
