According to the publisher, the titles were no longer profitable. A final edition of Girlz will be released this week and a final issue of Cosmogirl will be on the shelves in mid-June.
Only online since 2017
The Hitkrant has not existed as a physical biweekly magazine since 2017. The magazine still has an online website and published a paper special six times a year. So these disappear.

After the disappearance of the physical magazine, the editors of Hitkrant were placed with the editorial staff of Girl. Working editors for these titles have been declared redundant. It is not known how many people are involved. Other titles of the publisher such as Vriendin, HP / De Tijd and Weekend will continue to exist.
People reminisce about the magazine online as a result of the news. Like this man who met his wife through the magazine:

Other magazines
It is not the first news in the magazine landscape today. Earlier today it was also announced that publishing house Hearst will stop with a number of titles. Including the men’s magazine Esquire and fashion magazine Vogue. Another publisher is still being sought for the latter.
Hearst’s portfolio shrinks from twenty to twelve titles. As a necessary reason for the reorganization, Hearst cites the ‘changes in consumer behavior, needs of advertisers and media consumption’ that have been ‘accelerated’ by the corona crisis.
