When Otter made his entrance in The masked singer, the investigators thought that Ingeborg might be under his bowler hat. But last week it turned out that singer Sam Bettens was hiding behind the mask in question. And Ingeborg cannot be another figure, because she turns up as a detective on Friday evening.

“That bustier of Queen, is it correct? Can it also be fake? ” Ingeborg does not like half work. She takes up her job as a detective The masked singer therefore very seriously. After all, who says the programme’s costume designers aren’t trying to mislead them? “What did they do with that suit? On television I always seem to have a double chin, while I don’t. ” “That is also the case with me”, Jens Dendoncker agrees. “I actually weigh 58 kilos. But on television they add 50 kilos to that. ”

At the start of the fourth show, there are seven more masked singers. This time they perform in three duels: two regular and one ‘triel’. They also do not give any extra tip about themselves after their performances. They tell a lie. Wondering whether the investigators gain new insights as a result. Because it keeps them busy day and night. “I dream about this”, says Julie Van den Steen. “The moment those masks go off is going to be so liberating for me.”

This applies to many Flemish people. Last week lured The masked singer more than one and a half million viewers and the VTM website eagerly speculates about everyone’s identity.
