Inter goalkeeper Andre Onana, 26, announced today, Friday, his retirement from international football with Cameroon.
Onana was excluded from Cameroon’s list of World Cup contenders, ‘Qatar 2022’, due to lack of discipline, because the national team coach, Rigobert Song, insisted on having a goalkeeper who had a more ‘traditional’ approach to his game.

The Cameroonian goalkeeper posted a photo on his Twitter account saying: “Every story, however beautiful, has an end. My story with the Cameroon national team is over.”
He added: “Players come and go, and names are fleeting, but Cameroon is above every player and person. My love for them remains everlasting, just like my love for the national team and the people who are there.” they have always supported no matter how difficult the moment is.
Interestingly, the “Untamed Lions” team was excluded from the World Cup in Qatar from the group stage, andHe won his last game against Brazil with an unprecedented goal.
