On December 1, the Cabinet of Ministers decided to extend the state of emergency until January 11, at the same time imposing a number of restrictions, including on trade. According to the MoE, trade restrictions have been introduced to reduce congestion at indoor and outdoor outlets.

As explained by the EM, the category “hygiene products” includes shampoos, dental hygiene products, toothbrushes, soaps, body washes, toilet paper, handkerchiefs, cosmetic wipes, towels, table napkins, sanitary napkins, tampons, baby nappies and facials. masks.
However, the MoE added that during the holidays it will also be possible to buy such goods as matches, washing powder, coffee, face masks and disinfectants.
There will also be pharmacies, including veterinary pharmacies, on weekends.
Restrictions on the sale of goods on weekends and public holidays also apply to street trade and trade in the open market area. However, the organization of fairs is completely prohibited.
Alcoholic beverages and tobacco products will not be available in shops on weekends and public holidays. At the same time, the MoE acknowledged that on weekends it will be possible to buy on the Internet those goods that will be prohibited from buying at points of sale. As a result, alcohol and cigarettes will also be available online on weekends and public holidays.
Internet sales will not be restricted on weekends, so the delivery of goods to homes and parcel terminals, as well as the delivery and receipt of goods in stores will be allowed on weekends and holidays.
Emergency filling stations (petrol stations) will be able to sell goods that are necessary for the safe use of cars and the unavailability of these goods can pose a risk to road safety. However, during the holidays, gas stations will not be able to sell alcohol and tobacco products in order not to create conditions of unfair competition with other outlets.
Information published on the MoE website shows that bank branches, dry cleaners, shoe, watch and sewing workshops, as well as key repair shops will be able to provide services on weekends and weekends.
During an emergency situation, the maximum number of people allowed in retail premises has been reduced, stipulating that at least 15 square meters of publicly available premises must be provided per visitor. Traders must ensure that no more than 20% of the maximum number of people allowed by the site’s infrastructure is located at the point of sale.
If the area of the place of provision of economic services is less than 25 square meters, then one visitor may be present at the same time.
Vendors must indicate at the entrance to the store, in a conspicuous place, information, including in foreign languages, on the maximum number of persons that may be present in the particular place at any one time.
Visitors to the store must wear face masks. The requirement for face masks also applies to employees of these places who are not separated from visitors by a physical barrier, such as special walls.
