Last day, 367 cases of Covid-19 were detected in Latvia, which is the largest number of cases diagnosed in one day, according to the data compiled by the Center for Disease Prevention and Control (SPKC).
The largest number of Covid-19 tests performed so far last day – 7564, and in 4.85% of cases they were positive. The SPCC has previously explained that this figure is considered important in the European Union, as above 4%, the spread of the disease is considered to be rapid and uncontrolled.
Three Covid-19 patients who had been confirmed to be infected with Covid-19 died last day. Two of the deceased patients were in the age group of 70 to 75 years and another in the age group of 90 to 95 years. To date, 88 deaths have been reported in patients with confirmed infection with Covid-19.
To date, a total of 7,119 people have been diagnosed with Covid-19 in Latvia, while 1,444 people have recovered from Covid-19.
Previously, the highest number of cases detected in one day was on November 4, when 313 cases of Covid-19 were detected.
During the last 24 hours, 7564 COVID-19 examinations were performed, 367 new infections were registered, 3 persons died (2 persons in the age group from 70 to 75, 1 person in the age group from 90 to 95).
