On Tuesday, there were no available test hours – now the capacity is being expanded again

The case is being updated.

Since the weekend, Adresseavisen has received several inquiries about the long waiting time to get a coronation test in Trondheim. At 2pm on Tuesday there were no free hours on Trondheim municipality’s website for this week.

Earlier the same day, the capacity of the test stations at Leütenhaven and Statens hus was increased by over 2100 extra test hours due to the high demand. They were filled up shortly.

The municipality is now working to increase capacity further, they write in a press release.

From Thursday, both test stations will be open in the evening. Throughout the week, new classes will be held continuously.

In addition, the municipality is working on new solutions for saliva testing by self-testing to further expand the test capacity and meet the needs of the population.

Details about this will come when these solutions are ready, they write in the press release.
