Aleksandrs Kalējs, Mants Šernius and Elžbieta Liepa-Dvarionaite, three young talents from the Baltic States, will take part in the master class, studying piano at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music, the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater and the Vienna University of Music and Fine Arts.
Jefim Bronfman’s impressive technique, strength and unusual lyrical talent, which will be welcomed by critics and listeners around the world, will be able to enjoy the classical music festival in person this summer. Riga Jurmala – On August 27, Jefim Bronfman will perform at the Dzintari Concert Hall together with the Royal Concertgebouw orchestra and conductor Daniel Harding. He will play solo at Ludwig van Beethoven’s Third Piano Concerto.

Alexander Kalej is a laureate of several international competitions, as well as a finalist of the III International George Gershwin Competition in New York. Performing at concerts and festivals in Europe and the USA, Aleksandrs Kalējs is studying piano with Professor Sergei Osokin at the Jāzeps Vītols Latvian Academy of Music and at the Vienna University of Music and Fine Arts with Professor Avedis Kujumjan. Aleksandrs Kalējs will perform Robert Schuman in a master class with Jefim Bronfman Vienna Carnival.
Mants Šerniai is a laureate of many international piano and chamber music competitions, who has performed both as a solo artist and as a member of a chamber music ensemble. Previously studying at the Royal Conservatory of Scotland, Mants is currently pursuing a doctorate in the class of Professor Ivari Ilya at the Estonian Academy of Music and Theater, where he previously obtained a Master’s degree in Chamber Music from Professor Marje Lohuaru. Mants Šerni will perform Ludwig van Beethoven’s Sixth Sonata in a master class.
Elžbieta Liepa-Dvarionaite is a student at the Vienna University of Music and Fine Arts in the class of Professor Anna Malikova. As a participant of many international master classes and a winner of the competition, Elizabeth has performed with orchestras from all over the Baltics, as well as with the orchestra. Virtuosi Brunensis from the Czech Republic. He is constantly consulted by the prominent Lithuanian pianist Mūza Rubackīte. Elžbieta Liepa-Dvarionaitė will hear Alexander Scriabin’s Fifth Sonata in the master class.
