Brazil and Peru had already met in the group stage. In the semi-finals, the difference was smaller than in the groups, when Peru received a 4-0 wash from the Brazilians.
Ten minutes before half time, Lucas Paqueta scored the only goal of the game, although Neymar was allowed to write a large part of the goal. The preparatory work by the PSG player was great, Paqueta had only to push the ball in for goal (see video below).
Brazil will face Argentina or Colombia in the final. Neymar is already hoping for a dream final against Lionel Messi and co. “I want Argentina in the final. I now support the Argentinians,” he laughed after the semi-final won.
Neymar and Messi are both on a roll this tournament. Neymar has already scored 2 times and handed out 3 assists, Messi has so far accounted for 4 goals and as many assists. huhIt has been 2007 since the two arch-rivals met in the final of the Copa America. Then Brazil won 3-0.
