A group of women from the Italian Rescue Dog School joined the animals in the training sessions that precede patrolling the beaches during the bathing season. The aim is to guarantee the safety of bathers in Riva dei Tarquini, 100 kilometers from Rome.
Like the female team of lifeguards, who prepare themselves with technical and specific equipment for patrolling the beaches, dogs are also equipped. Before starting training, the caretakers prepare the animals with a life jacket. The security of the patrol is thus guaranteed for both parties that constitute it.
During the watch, dogs are trained for different environments and can be a great help when it comes to removing someone in trouble from the water. The patrol is accompanied by dogs, both on the beach and at sea, and, when training together, deepen the relationship.
