The municipal council commissions a feasibility study.
One of the most important topics currently occupying the Schallbach municipal council is the planned heating network 4.0. Mayor Christian Iselin explained the latest status of the project in the municipal council.
Half a year has passed since the presentation of a district concept. At that time, the decision was made to continue pursuing the Heat Network 4.0 project. According to Iselin, he could not have imagined how many bureaucratic hurdles would have to be overcome just to get the tender for a potential and feasibility study off the ground. After Hugo Kornmeier and a lawyer were brought on board as consultants, the tender for the study was launched. Of the three providers contacted, only Energiedienst AG submitted a valid offer. The offer consists of three parts: 1. potential analysis, 2. application for the feasibility study and 3. implementation of the same plus application for the implementation study.
The costs amounted to around 100,000 euros. The possible subsidy is 50 percent. The majority of the costs of 50,000 euros remaining to the municipality could be reclaimed from future operators when the heating network is implemented. If it turns out that the realization of the project is not feasible, there are options for the community to opt out. If you accept this, only the costs incurred up to that point would be incurred. After a short deliberation, the committee unanimously approved the award.
