Middelburg is suddenly on the coast and Vlissingen is across the border in Belgium. At least, on a map in a new advertisement of the Dutch Railways. The transport company has put up a poster at 150 stations throughout the Netherlands on which the Zeeland places are in the wrong place.
The map is displayed at the stations to promote the ‘Stationsommetje’, walks around stations. Despite the error, the posters are not removed or modified. “Unfortunately, it will be too big an operation to replace the poster throughout the Netherlands,” an NS spokesperson told Broadcasting Zeeland.
