An 82-year-old woman with a heart condition is found dead in her apartment in Berlin-Wilmersdorf. Annegret Bluhm is lying on the floor in the bedroom. Part of her teeth apparently broke off when she fell and slipped under the bed. The question is: was it a natural death, was it an accident? or did someone help?

The murder investigators quickly find a suspect: He knew Bluhm, had visited her on the day of her death, is addicted to gambling and heavily in debt. But due to a fatal error during the autopsy, the police have to let him go – which will cost another pensioner her life.

Berlin senior public prosecutor Katrin Faust speaks in the 39th episode of “Tatort Berlin” about undiscovered homicides, about sloppiness in post-mortem examinations and autopsiesand how she and the murder squad managed to convict Annegret Bluhm’s murderer.
