news-id-112744" style="display:inline;">Residents of Aktau noticed that with the advent of “Sergek” cameras in the city, signs were removed on the roads that prohibited movement at a speed of more than 40 km/h.

– Along the embankment in microdistricts 14 and 15, signs of a speed limit of 40 km/h were removed. How are the “Sergek” cameras configured? How fast can you go? – Asked a resident of Aktau.

Suyun Kurmantaev, deputy head of the Mangistau region’s administrative police department, said that signs of a 40 km/h maximum speed limit had indeed been removed from the city’s roads.

– In the city of Aktau, as in other settlements, vehicles are allowed to move at a speed of no more than 60 km / h. As for the restrictions that were introduced, in particular, on the road near the city embankment, this speed limit has been cancelled. On this section of the road you can drive at a speed of no more than 60 km / h. In the near future we plan to install signs at the recommended speed. Its meaning is clear from the name: a road sign informs drivers that it is recommended to drive at a given section of the road at the speed indicated on the sign itself. It only gives the driver information about the maximum speed on the road,” Suyun Kurmantayev informed.

Recall that “Sergek” was launched on July 1: 1138 video surveillance cameras were installed in Aktau and Munaily district.
